DESSE SEED PTY LTD, Australia was founded by director Raymond (Spike) Dessert III. Spike is a fourth generation seedsmen and was raised in the family business Dessert Seeds, California. He originally moved to the Ord Irrigation Area in 1972 when managing a seed production branch for Dessert Seed, California. When this family business sold he established his own business R. B. Dessert Seed Co. and has been producing a vast range of seed crops and importing and export seed around the world from our office in Western Australia.

DESSE SEED PTY LTD has been established to focus on the commercial breeding and sale of Hybrid Sorghum Varieties.

DESSE SEED PTY LTD head office is located 13km from the township of Kununurra in the Ord River Irrigation Area.

GPS Co-Ordinates 128.50 E and 15.75 S The Ord River Irrigation Area is supplied by Lake Argyle (The largest man made lake in the Southern Hemisphere) boasting a storage capacity of 10700Giga Litres of water.

The Ord Irrigation Area is located in the north of Australia offering a climate very suitable for Hybrid Sorghum Seed production. The dry season from April to October has the perfect seed growing climate with a guaranteed frost free growing season and nil in crop rain.
